I really like the atmosphere you portrayed here, it gives off a deep eerie feeling with the characters breath showing and the blood (: Also I like how you made the background simple and dark. It works very well with this kind of scene :3 Oh and I like how the colors flow over into eachother, looks better than sharp edges in my opinion :3
thank you so much! I think the best advice I can offer is to make sure your sketch is solid (as far as posing goes, you want to try to make it dynamic) before you go into lineart and adding details. Its hard to make interesting poses for canines because they are already very structured animals!
thank you! I'll try to make some tutorials, I want to make one about saluki/canine anatomy and structure. For my linear I just use a 1 pixel hard brush in photoshop and go over my sketch. My shading technique is also really simple, I duplicate my locked color layer, fill it with a dark blue or brown, and change the opacity to 30 or so depending on the background. Then I unlock the layer and with a soft brush erase it. Kind of hard to explain but I hope it helps a little! If I get time I'll try to make a tutorial. I use photoshop btw
I love the simplicity of this, but I am still totally in love with every little detail you throw into your work. The anatomy in this piece is just absolutely stunning. I love those legs. I am such a fan of your style. It's so elegant!!!
