History: Nothing is certain regarding Halcyon’s history. What is known to the wolves are only rumors from word of mouth. Some say that Halcyon is as old as the Earth itself, born from the sun and moon. Others insist that Halcyon is one generation of divine ferriers who have made it their pursuit to chase the seasons across the year.
All can agree that Halcyon brings the seasons of the domain: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. It is said that the day-to-day weather is directly related to Halcyon’s sentiments, that in the Autumn and Winter months she grows sorrowful of her constant and repetitive task, feeling the isolation of her commitment to the seasons. In her desolation she sheds rainfall and snow down upon the wolves to humble them.
Her spirit revives during the Spring and Summer months, remembering her noble and necessary undertaking. During these months she eases the weather, allowing for the Earth to bloom and blossom, transforming into brilliance. These seasons represent Halcyon’s confidence and merriment, they are a gift to the wolves.
Halcyon serves as a persistent reminder of the Earth’s cycle. She’s a symbol of hope to the wolves, that when life is bleak and winter is upon them, there will always be spring to melt away the snow and despair.

I chose these tri-colors because I felt they would best represent the four seasons. Each color stands for a different season: Gray is winter, White is Spring, Tan is Summer, and orange is Fall.
Similarly, the different markings represent different weather elements: The white ticking down her back serves as falling snow, the white markings mist and lightning, and the orange and burgundy on her snout and tail represent heat and fire.
